Ma Kane, who ran the South Side of London with a rod of iron, has two sons. Frank becomes a priest but leaves the church after a misunderstanding with the collection money. He inherits The Paradise Club on the death of Ma and returns to London to try and steer his brother Danny away from a life of crime.
